Can we hire Joanna's Chippy Van for our wedding?
Yes — weddings are one of our most popular bookings. We serve freshly cooked fish & chips at your venue, whether that's an evening buffet, a late-night snack after the dancing, or catering for the whole reception.
When is the best time to serve chips at a wedding?
Most couples book us for the evening reception, usually between 8pm and 11pm, when guests are ready for something warm and filling. We can also cover daytime arrivals or a post-ceremony bite — we'll fit around your running order.
Do you need power or water at the venue?
No. The van is fully self-contained, so we don't need a power supply, water or extra facilities from your venue. We just need level ground and access for the van.
How far do you travel for weddings?
We're based in Ayrshire and travel across Scotland for weddings. Send us your venue postcode and we'll confirm travel with your quote.
How far in advance should we book?
Summer Saturdays book up quickly — often 6 to 12 months ahead. If you have a date in mind, get in touch early and we'll let you know availability.
Are you insured and food hygiene certified?
Yes — we hold full public liability insurance and all required food hygiene certification, and we're happy to send documentation to your venue or wedding planner.
